Roll virtual dice for board games, tabletop RPGs, or just for fun. Choose how many dice to roll and how many sides each die has, from a standard d6 up to a d100.

Dice notation and odds

Tabletop games write dice as NdX, where N is the number of dice and X the number of sides. 2d6 means roll two six-sided dice and add them, and 1d20 means roll one twenty-sided die. Games like Dungeons & Dragons use the full set: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100.

Each face of a fair die has the same chance. A d6 rolls any number 1 in 6 times, and a d20 rolls a 20 (a 'natural 20') 5% of the time. With two dice, middle totals are more likely: 7 is the most common total on 2d6.
